Remedy Entertainment is collaborating with Annapurna Pictures to bring both Alan Wake and Control to the big screen and television. However, the progress of these projects remains in its infancy, as revealed by Remedy's head, Sam Lake. In an interview with IGN, Lake expressed the team's enthusiasm but emphasized that it's still very early in the development process.

In Hollywood, the announcement of adaptations based on popular franchises is common, but not all projects reach completion. The fate of the Alan Wake and Control adaptations remains uncertain, but Lake mentioned that the idea of translating Remedy's games into film and TV has been on the team's radar for a considerable time. He stated, "Now, with Annapurna, we have a perfect partner and it feels like a genuine collaboration. Obviously, they bring in their prestige expertise and we bring in our universe and our games, and together we are exploring ideas. But yes, early days, but I am very excited."

Alan Wake II was partially inspired by David Lynch and the Twin Peaks series, leading to speculation about a potential collaboration between Remedy and Lynch for their game adaptations. Lake responded with, "Wouldn't that be cool? Yeah, no. I mean, as I said, early, early days, and where we are with everything is that we are just exploring the potential in our universe for different projects and ideas. We'll see where it goes." He also confirmed that he has never met Lynch but hopes to one day have a conversation with him over coffee about art.

Additionally, Remedy has a deal with Annapurna Pictures for Control 2, which is unaffected by the recent mass resignations at Annapurna Interactive.
