A road in Ras Al Khaimah has been closed, according to an announcement by the emirate's police on Thursday, October 10.
The closure was due to the dam adjacent to the Wadi Shawka Road being filled with rainwater, as stated in a post on the authority's social media handles. Heavy rains impacted parts of the country yesterday, leading to waterfalls in mountainous areas. In addition to the showers, some regions experienced a hailstorm.
The National Centre of Meteorology has issued a warning to residents about a low-pressure system located south of the Arabian Sea near the western coast of India. This system is forecasted to move towards the central Arabian Sea and intensify on October 14 and 15.
