Italian shipyard Rossinavi has unveiled the interiors of the 42.8-metre Seawolf X, following its debut at this year's Monaco Yacht Show. The hybrid-electric catamaran is hailed as Rossinavi's "most innovative project to date" and is currently berthed in Viareggio, Italy, according to BOATPro.

The exterior design is the work of Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design, marking their first collaboration since the 49.1-metre Aurora in 2017. This project also represents Rossinavi's inaugural foray into multihull design. Meanwhile, New York-based design firm Meyer Davis has crafted the interiors, which emphasize "relaxed luxury and sustainable design." The decor draws inspiration from natural elements such as the sun, sea, and sand.

"Seawolf X provided us with the opportunity to create something truly unique for the yachting world – a catamaran that is elegantly designed yet grounded in sustainability," said Will Meyer, co-founder of Meyer Davis. "Inspired by Rossinavi’s commitment to conscious design, we incorporated natural materials and thoughtful details, adding subtle, refined touches that make the spaces feel both welcoming and sophisticated."

A standout feature of the Seawolf X is its three "performance scenarios." For one-day trips, the catamaran can cruise entirely in electric mode; for multi-day trips, it can operate in electric mode for 90% of the time; and for transatlantic voyages, it can still cruise in electric mode for 80% of the journey. When moored, a "hibernation mode" reduces energy consumption, with surplus energy being fed back to the quay or a private property. The vessel can recharge at the dock in just five hours and supplies enough energy to power an entire villa.

Rossinavi has also developed an onboard artificial intelligence system, Rossinavi AI, to analyze vessel operations, predict guest needs, and communicate with the crew on "lower-impact behaviors" and "conscious cruising." The AI also monitors the battery pack to maintain it within a range of 20 to 80 percent.

The exterior design, reminiscent of a sports car, was crafted with a focus on breaking away from traditional catamaran design norms. Solar panels were integrated into Seawolf X, and the hull efficiency was enhanced through lightweight solutions, including an anchor installation that meets aesthetic and weight standards.

Leisure features include a cockpit centered around a pool, an expansive sundeck with sunbathing and living areas, and a bow area featuring a hidden pool and convertible home theater. Accommodation is provided for up to 10 guests in four cabins located in the hulls.

"After years of research and construction, it is gratifying to see the launch of project Sea Cat, now Seawolf X, the first hybrid-electric multihull vessel," said Federico Rossi, COO of Rossinavi. "This yacht represents significant technological advancements in power management and propulsion, marking the start of a new era in next-generation vessels."

Seawolf X also bears the BlUE label, Rossinavi's sustainable design philosophy established in 2022. Inspired by phytoplankton, the BlUE fleet harnesses sunlight during the day and uses photovoltaic technology to convert it into energy, which is stored in advanced batteries and released at night, creating a bioluminescent effect.

Seawolf X is available for charter with Cecil Wright from €380,000 per week.
