This week, get ready to smile once more with the release of Smile 2. However, Naomi Scott's character, Skye Riley, a pop star on the verge of Taylor Swift-level fame, won't be doing much smiling in this film. As the final trailer reveals, Skye's life spirals out of control as the curse tightens its grip on her.

In both the original Smile and its sequel, an entity manifests as people with eerily creepy smiles, taunting their victims with impending doom. In this trailer, the entity communicates with Skye twice. The first time, through her friend—or possibly lover—Gemma, who accuses Skye of deserving her fate because she's 'a horrible person.'

Morris (Peter Jacobson) might be the only other person aware of Skye's predicament. He informs her that the entity is exploiting her darkest thoughts to attack her. However, he's unable to provide a solution to banish the entity and break the curse. If Skye dies in the presence of another, the curse will simply transfer to the next victim.

Parker Finn, director and writer of the first Smile, returns to helm and pen the sequel. Kyle Gallner reprises his role as Joel from the first film, joined by new cast members Rosemarie DeWitt, Lukas Gage, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Raúl Castillo, Dylan Gelula, Ray Nicholson, and Drew Barrymore.

Smile 2 hits theaters this Friday, October 18. In the interim, you might spot more Smile promo actors during the MLB playoffs, including the one who couldn't resist breaking character during a foul ball incident.
