Sunrisers batted first after Royals skipper Sanju Samson won the toss, posting a total of 175 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs. They then successfully restricted RR to 139 for seven, sealing their place in the final.
Sunrisers Hyderabad, who clinched the IPL title in 2016 under the captaincy of David Warner, will now face two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders in Sunday's final. KKR claimed victory in 2012 and 2014.
