The trailer for 'Jackpot!', starring John Cena and Awkwafina, has been released. Set in Los Angeles in 2030, the film centers on Katie (played by Awkwafina), an aspiring actress who unexpectedly wins the lottery. Unbeknownst to her, California law allows anyone to kill the lottery winner and claim the prize money until sunset without legal repercussions. Katie's survival is aided by an inexperienced lottery protection agent, played by Cena, who stands to gain a share of the winnings if she lives, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Awkwafina later quips to Cena, "I trust you. Maybe it's because you resemble a bulldog that a witch enchanted and transformed into a human. Does that ever cross your mind?" Directed by Feig, known for 'Bridesmaids' and 'The Heat', 'Jackpot!' will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on August 15.
