The UAE has vehemently denounced the Israeli authorities' decision to seize the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in occupied East Jerusalem, suspend UNRWA's operations, and construct a settlement in its stead. The UAE firmly opposes any actions intended to alter the historical and legal status of the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

Reem Bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, conveyed the UAE's unequivocal disapproval of the confiscation and targeting of humanitarian headquarters in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, or any actions that jeopardize the safety of its workers. Additionally, the minister praised UNRWA for its efforts to aid the Palestinian people in overcoming the arduous humanitarian conditions imposed by the Israeli occupation.

Al Hashimy emphasized the importance of supporting regional and international initiatives to promote the peace process in the Middle East, and to put an end to illegal practices that undermine the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. She also highlighted the UAE's unwavering commitment to fostering peace and justice, and to protecting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
