Under the guidance of President Sheikh Mohamed, the UAE has initiated a national relief campaign named 'UAE with you, Lebanon' to assist the Lebanese people 'amid the current field escalation', according to WAM on Saturday.
Following presidential directives to provide $100 million in immediate humanitarian aid to Lebanon, the UAE has partnered with the World Health Organization (WHO) and dispatched an aircraft carrying 40 tonnes of urgent medical supplies to Lebanon on Friday. WAM reported that this flight, which departed from Dubai, marks the first in this relief effort.
