The processing time for essential documents required to obtain work permits and residency visas has been significantly shortened from 30 days to just five days throughout the UAE, thanks to the introduction of the second phase of the Work Bundle platform on Tuesday. Multiple government ministries and federal authorities have collaborated to create a platform designed to simplify the recruitment process for new hires by business owners and private companies, along with the pre-renewal of work permits for current employees. This procedure, which previously took 30 days, has been expedited to a mere five days across the UAE, following the successful rollout of the second phase of the Work Bundle platform. The platform, launched by several government ministries and federal authorities, aims to facilitate the hiring of new employees for business owners and private companies, as well as the pre-renewal of work permits for existing employees. The first phase of Work Bundle was initially implemented in Dubai in April and has since been extended to all seven emirates. The second phase is expected to benefit approximately 600,000 companies and over seven million workers. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) announced that the third phase will focus on domestic workers. Currently, companies and employees can access Work Bundle only through its website (workinuae.ae), but a mobile application is slated to be released soon.
