The UAE's Edge Group, a prominent player in advanced technology and defense, unveiled its new space company, FADA (which translates to 'space'), on Monday, as reported by WAM. This strategic move is set to bolster the group's global competitiveness and reinforce its pioneering role in enhancing space capabilities.
By fostering national and international partnerships and promoting vital synergies through the Transfer of Technology (ToT) and Transfer of Knowledge (ToK), FADA aims to establish a self-reliant sovereign space sector. This sector will support both national and commercial needs, ensuring the UAE remains at the forefront of space innovation and technology.
Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE Group, emphasized that the launch of FADA will enable Edge to expand and solidify its position in the global space industry. This aligns with the UAE's vision of becoming a leader in space technologies, thereby creating a blueprint for a self-sufficient and innovative ecosystem.
