The United Arab Emirates has expressed its support for the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which identifies Israeli policies, including the expansion of settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, as breaches of international law. In a recent statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of the UAE declared its opposition to any actions that seek to modify the historical and legal status of the Occupied Palestinian Territory. The Ministry also condemned practices that contravene international legitimacy resolutions, which could lead to increased regional instability and hinder efforts towards peace and stability. Furthermore, the Ministry emphasized the importance of backing regional and international initiatives aimed at promoting the peace process in the Middle East, and at ending illegal practices that jeopardize the realization of a two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
