In the Fallout universe, the popular word game known as Wordle probably wasn't invented because the world became a nuclear wasteland decades before it would have been created. However, thanks to a mod, Wordle can now replace the hacking minigame in Fallout: New Vegas. The mod was created by a user named W00Z and is available on Nexus Mods. Similar to the original Wordle, players are given six guesses to figure out a five-letter word, with hints provided to determine if the letters are in the correct position. Failing to solve the Wordle means the in-game hack of the terminal won't work. But if players correctly guess the word, they gain XP and access to the terminal.
Some terminals in the game will present more challenging Wordle puzzles, featuring shorter words or fewer attempts. A video showcasing W00Z's Wordle mod was posted on YouTube, demonstrating its integration into the game. The mod allows users to choose whether Wordle is installed on every terminal or just a select few. Players can also decide if terminals will remember incomplete Wordle games. W00Z plans to introduce Wordle statistics and streaks, noting that the mod already tracks players' win-loss records.
New Vegas will be one of the locations featured in Prime Video's Fallout Season 2, which recently started filming. Earlier this week, Bethesda also released a new Fallout 76 update that adds pets to player camps.
