A significant construction project on Yas Island has been temporarily halted by Abu Dhabi authorities.
The project was suspended due to repeated violations of environmental standards, according to a social media post by the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD). This decision follows comprehensive inspections and public concerns about heightened water pollution, including increased turbidity and notable changes in water quality.
The project will remain on hold until all necessary corrective actions are taken to ensure strict environmental compliance, EAD confirmed.
