Zach Bryan and his girlfriend, Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia, have ended their relationship. The 28-year-old country music star confirmed the breakup on Tuesday via a message on his Instagram Stories. “Addressing something: Brianna and I have decided to part ways, and I hold immense respect and love for her in my heart,” Bryan wrote.
“She has supported me unconditionally for a long time, and for that, I will always be grateful,” he added. “I’ve faced some deeply challenging personal issues this year. I believed it would be best for both of us to take separate paths. I am far from perfect and will never claim to be,” Bryan continued, urging fans to respect Chickenfry’s “privacy and space.”
“And if you can, please do the same for me,” he requested. “I apologize to anyone I’ve let down, especially myself. I strive to do my best in everything I do, but I’ve failed those who care about me and, most importantly, myself.”
Chickenfry, 25, expressed her shock in her own statement. “Hey guys, I’m feeling really blindsided right now. I’m going to step away from social media for a while to heal privately. When I’m ready, I’ll return and be prepared to talk,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories. “I love you all so much and thank you for your kind words. Remember, you are deeply loved, and everything will be okay,” the social media influencer added.
The couple first met at the 2023 Academy of Country Music Awards when Chickenfry requested a photo with Bryan. She confirmed their relationship on her “PanBri Uncut” podcast last July. Rumors of their split surfaced on Monday after fans shared screenshots online of what they claimed to be Bryan’s Raya account.
Before the breakup was confirmed, Chickenfry also posted several cryptic messages. One of her posts read, “Eventually, you’ll realize that life moves on, even when you don’t want it to.”
