Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky informed Indian journalists in a social media post on Sunday that discussions are in progress with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, and Switzerland about the second peace summit. Zelensky also mentioned that he had communicated to India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi his support for India to host the second peace summit, as Kyiv is looking to secure a host from among the Global South countries.
However, Zelensky was candid in stating, "This applies not just to India, but to any nation considering hosting the second summit. We cannot conduct a peace summit in a country that has not yet endorsed the peace summit communique." He further added that he had covered all aspects of the communique and the previous peace summit during his meeting with Modi on Friday.
